We come together on the eve of World Press Freedom Day to discuss the implications of press freedom and the First Amendment in Georgia, at a time when we must defend local news and journalists as they support our democratic process and support civic participation.
We are honored that Stacey Abrams will begin with a keynote address, immediately followed by a panel discussion with leading state officials and members of the media discussing government transparency and press freedom. This event is organized by PEN America.
