Atlanta Press Club Journalism Internships
Thanks to strategic partners and our annual sponsors, the Atlanta Press Club is able to provide our summer journalism internship program. Full-time college students at accredited institutions are eligible to apply and priority is given to students at Georgia universities. Writing samples and a letter of recommendation are required.
APC pairs interns with many of Atlanta’s top news organizations, where they receive hands-on experience in writing and reporting.
We are proud to partner with several news organizations but cannot guarantee the same publications or outlets will participate each year. In past years, for example, we paired students with top editors at

- Atlanta Civic Circle
- Capital B
- Canopy
Our journalism interns receive hands-on work experience and a standard stipend (see application for more details). Internships will occur between June 3-August 9, 2024 (dates may vary by outlet). The Atlanta Press Club is not responsible for additional financial supplements provided by individual participating outlets (if applicable). Summer internships may be a hybrid of virtual and in-person hours.

Atlanta Press Club Lorenzo “Lo” Jelks Communications and Marketing Internship Sponsored by Georgia Power Foundation.
Selected intern will work at the Atlanta Press Club assisting staff with the Hall of Fame event and other programming, administrative support, digital content creation and more. A standard stipend will be paid (see application for more details). The internship will take place in FALL 2024 (exact dates to be announced). This is not a journalism internship. This internship will primarily be a remote position with occasional in-person event hours.
