This keynote + panel event will help you learn how to persuade and influence with the power of storytelling. Pioneering climate scientist Roxana Chicas, PhD, RN, (seen above) will give the keynote address on how to share scientific knowledge through human narrative, featuring clips from the 2024 Fault Lines documentary, Deadly Heat. The panel will build upon Dr. Chicas’ discussion with rich exemplars spanning film, virtual reality, theater, and gaming. We will discuss how these seemingly different media all apply the fundamental building blocks of exceptional storytelling to advance social and environmental justice. Come learn how the panelists are impacting seemingly “impossible” issues—and how to do the same in your career. Followed by networking, VR demos, and refreshments from Chick-fil-A!
