Brad Raffensperger, Secretary of State of Georgia, will address the Atlanta Press Club during a Newsmaker breakfast on Tuesday, February 25 at the Commerce Club.
In this election year, the process of casting votes is under scrutiny nationwide, especially after the recent Iowa political caucuses. Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, who took office in January 2019, will introduce the state’s new voting machines with a live demonstration and a discussion led by Mark Niesse, reporter for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The machines will be onsite for participants to view. A Q&A about the machines will follow the discussion.
Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger is the CEO and owner of Tendon Systems, LLC. He served two terms in the Georgia General Assembly from 2015-2019. Raffensperger earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Western University and was awarded his MBA from Georgia State University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in over 30 states.

The ticket price does not include parking. Parking is available in the 191 Building parking deck with entrances on Ellis Street and Peachtree Center Avenue. Discounted parking vouchers for this deck will be available for $15 at the event. Guests must bring the ticket they receive upon entering the deck to receive a discount. The Peachtree Center MARTA station is also conveniently located nearby.
