Join ATLVets, in partnership with BENS, Atlanta Press Club, Atlanta History Center, and VETLANTA for an evening with General David Petraeus author of “Conflict: The Evolution of Warfare from 1945 to Ukraine.”
Two leading authorities—an acclaimed historian and the outstanding battlefield commander and strategist of our time—collaborate on a landmark examination of war since 1945. “Conflict” is both a sweeping history of the evolution of warfare up to Putin’s invasion of Ukraine and a penetrating analysis of what we must learn from the past—and anticipate in the future—in order to navigate an increasingly perilous world.
Speaking Event (7:00 PM – 8:30 PM)

- General Petraeus will take the stage to deliver a captivating talk on leadership, national security, and the lessons he has learned throughout his illustrious career. The speaking engagement will include anecdotes from his time in the military and his public service. This amazing conversation will be moderated by the president of the World Affairs Council, Rickey Bevington.
Book Signing (8:30 PM – 9:00 PM)
- Location: Main Event Hall
- After the Speaking event, General Petraeus will sign copies of his latest book, which will be available for purchase prior to or at the event. This session is open to both private dinner guests and those attending the speaking event.
