This all-day event will center on issues at the intersection of the First Amendment, journalism, courts and the law. The conference is the collaborative effort of a planning committee composed of journalists, judges and lawyers from across Georgia.

Sullivan previously was a columnist for The Washington Post, served as public editor of the New York Times and was executive editor of her hometown newspaper, The Buffalo News, where she began as an intern. Her latest book is “Newsroom Confidential: Lessons (and Worries) from an Ink-stained Life.”
