The 2018 Atlanta Press Club Hall of Fame Reception Dinner will take place Friday, November 16 at 7 p.m. at the InterContinental Buckhead Hotel. The Hall of Fame dinner celebrates not only the journalists we are inducting but the impact good journalism has made in Georgia and throughout the nation.
2018 Inductees
Christiane Amanpour began her career with CNN in Atlanta in 1983 and has since risen to Chief International Anchor. She will be introduced by Eason Jordan, who helped launch and direct CNN.
Amanda Davis was a news anchor in Atlanta for more than 30 years. She helped launch Good Day Atlanta in 1992 and most recently anchored the morning news for CBS46. Davis passed away in 2017 and will be introduced by Budd McEntee, former news director at WAGA.
Morse Diggs has been covering Atlanta city government for Fox5 Atlanta for more than 36 years and will be introduced by former mayor of Atlanta, Shirley Franklin.
Mike Luckovich has been an editorial cartoonist with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution for more than 29 years and will be introduced by Kevin Riley, editor-in-chief of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
