JR06831 – Digital Producer

CBS46, a Meredith station, is looking for a Digital Producer to join its team.  This position is the day-to-day hands-on producer of the website cbs46.com and other digital platform efforts. This includes posting of stories, videos and breaking news. In addition, this role is responsible for maintaining the overall look and feel of the site as determined by the Meredith template and stylebook. Will work with reporters, photographers and producers on getting the latest content on multiple platforms. This is a very high pressure, ever-changing, deadline-focused environment.

Essential Job Functions | Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results

30%  Writing, editing content for site – including slide shows

30% Posting content on the site

20% Keeping overall site up to date, coordinating special projects and events, working with staff members to assist with writing, editing, and posting

10% Staying in touch with local sales needs

10% Creating new content, brand extensions

Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements |All must be met to be considered.

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in a related field or
equivalent training and/or experience. Training in HTML a plus.

Experience:

Minimum two years related work experience in areas such as news
writing and editing, video editing preferred.  Ideal candidate will have
web experience with web content management system (CMS), Photoshop or other
photo-editing software. Experience with iNews/ENPS and Avid would also be a
plus.

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Journalism, Avid, ability to write quickly, basic journalism
skills, ability to complete multiple projects under tight deadlines.
