Intern
Students will spend their time working on multiple projects. Strong writing, social media, researching and organizational skills are required. This internship needs a minimum of 15-20 hours per week (scheduling is flexible) and runs for the entire semester.
Students will experience daily applications of a Public Relations environment with one-on-one instruction from the president and owner of the company, Paula Hovater, a professional with over 35 years of experience in the business. Rather than performing minor, repetitive work, students will be directly involved with projects from beginning to end, aiding in research, planning, writing, execution, and evaluation of each task. No major or year requirements, but ideally those studying Communications, Journalism, English, or other related tracks. Our current clients include SaportaReport, The Atlanta Press Club, and Atlanta Women’s Weekend. Take-aways from this internship include increased knowledge in important programs and tools of the business, increased experience with various projects, knowledge of and direct connection with important companies in Atlanta (many Fortune 500), and new experience handling the day-to-day challenges of Public Relations.
