Intern — Clayton Crescent
Intern needed to help with SEO and some less-glamorous backend functions like renaming photo files. The intern also will be able to cover local government and features as needed.
20 hours/week, with occasional Monday or Tuesday evening required for government body meeting coverage. We can discuss scheduling in more detail in person (for example, if the intern wants to cover a weekend event for a photo gallery/feature story).
Will need own laptop, camera, car, work-study funding.
Will train the right person who is enrolled in subject area other than comms/journalism (history, English, etc.) and has a strong desire to enter the news business.
Must meet deadlines, be dependable, be a self-starter.
Will start immediately. LGBTQ, minorities, veterans, older students welcome.
Previous experience with Clayton County, GA (as a resident or student) a plus.
Previous experience with college paper/website a major plus.
