Digital Content and Communications Strategist (Contract)
Summary
CNP seeks a visionary, detail oriented, savvy social media consultant/team to support and strengthen our digital engagement and manage our social media channels. This is a 6-month contract. Maximum budget of $5000 per month. Proposals due April 21, 2023.
About CNP
CNP is an organization that stands in the tradition of Bayard Rustin, James Baldwin, Essex Hemphill, and other movement leaders, artists, organizers and visionaries committed to countering narratives and speaking truth to power. CNP seeks to advance Black LGBTQ+ acceptance through narrative change and storytelling.
Scope of Services Requested
The Counter Narrative Project (CNP) is requesting proposals from qualified vendors: either individual or a company, passionate about social media and digital content creation, that will expand our organizational impact. Our organization is growing and we seek to strengthen our communications infrastructure, specifically in the social media realm.
Our audience includes: community stakeholders, service providers, advocates, media, and existing and potential donors.
CNP’s digital team includes: Creative Director Johnnie Kornegay and Executive Director, Charles Stephens. Consultant may also work with our evaluator and graphic designer.
The consultant will produce digital content for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter. And also develop content for Tik-Tok and YouTube. Consultant will manage a social media calendar and also manage comments and inquiries on social media platforms. CNP aims to publish between 2 and 4 posts per week across all of our social media platforms, including: instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, email blasts, and monthly newsletter.
Responsibilities
Manage social media accounts day-to-day and week-to-week
Develop, produce and manage content and assets for CNP’s platforms, email list, campaigns, and channels.
Develop and manage social media calendar
Support digital campaigns and toolkits
Respond to inquiries on social media
Support monitoring and reporting of social media metrics
Experience & Expertise
Experience using Canva, social media management software and Google Workspace programs (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Passionate about racial justice and equity
Can keep track of deadlines and deliverables
Can work independently and collaboratively
Skilled in digital storytelling
Can produce engaging content
Can tell the story of CNP’s work on social media in an engaging way
Experience working with nonprofits
Excited to receive and implement feedback
Comfortable with several rounds of edits
Timeline
March 24, 2023: RFP Released
April 21, 2023: Proposals Due
May 5, 2023: Vendor selected
May 15, 2023: Contract signed and started
September 15, 2023: Contract ends
