Digital Communications Specialist
Responsibilities
Proactively improve SREB’s web, social, email and other digital and interactive communications in support of the organization’s objectives
Manage SREB.org content, edits, approvals, queries and analytics
Coordinate training, collaboration and improvement among SREB web and social media contributors
Plan, execute and evaluate digital campaigns and feedback strategies
Lead development of new web content and functionality
Research and write news stories, vignettes, features, fact sheets, newsletters and other pieces to support communications priorities
Manage production of photo, video, audio and information data graphics for the digital communications specialist’s portfolio of projects
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, education policy or related field
Five+ years of experience in communications, news writing, marketing or project management
Proven ability to write fluently and edit effectively
Demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of multiple projects
Proven track record of taking initiative and solving problems
Ability to incorporate basic principles of graphic design into communication products
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Experience with content management systems, email marketing platforms, social media and web analytics
