Paid Internship – Public Affairs

Public Affairs is a vibrant public relations company run by Paula Hovater in Roswell, GA. The company works with clients like the Roswell Convention and Visitors Bureau and SaportaReport. 


The students will have the opportunity to interact with Atlanta’s top leaders in the business, non-profit and media communities.


Job Description:


Students will spend their time working on multiple projects. Strong writing and organizational skills are required. This internship needs a minimum of 18-20 hours per week (scheduling is flexible) and runs for the entire semester (a commitment of about 15 weeks).


Students will experience daily applications of a Public Relations environment with one-on-one instruction from the president and owner of the company, Paula Hovater, a professional with over 35 years of experience in the business. Rather than performing minor work, students will be directly involved with projects from beginning to end, aiding in research, planning, writing, execution, and finally evaluation of each task. Take-aways from this internship include increased knowledge in important programs and tools of the business, increased experience with various social media, knowledge of and direct connection with important companies in Atlanta and across the country, and new experience handling the day-to-day challenges of Public Relations.
