Higher Education Reporter — The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

The Education Team has an opening for a higher education reporter. This writer will have to be adept as well at contacting and relating to local students and their issues and concerns, local university and college officials, and be able to discover and explain to readers’ the issues and personalities that are shaping where higher education is headed, its effects on our people and the state’s economy, culture and future.

The reporter will spend some time in the General Assembly, covering the policies and politics that shape our University System of Georgia, as well as covering the Regents, who are typically high-powered, well-connected business people, state leaders and alumni. In essence, you’ll need political smarts, great local connections, passion and a willingness to dig. If you are interested, contact Chris Quinn.
