Rachel Tobin Ramos is a business reporter for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Her beat includes the world's largest home improvement retailer, The Home Depot, plus the world's largest package carrier, UPS. She also covers big box retail stores and mall development.

She previously was a reporter for the Atlanta Business Chronicle, where she covered hospitality, aviation, media, marketing and the state Capitol over the course of three years. Her beats included the busiest passenger airport in the world, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, and its two largest airlines, Delta and AirTran. She also covered tourism in Atlanta, from hotels and restaurants to attractions like the Georgia Aquarium.

From 2001-2004, she was a staff reporter for a legal newspaper, the Fulton County Daily Report, where she covered the Georgia Capitol, court cases and the politics of the legal community. She also worked for the Weather Channel's now defunct Latin American division from 1998 to 2000.

Originally from Marin County, California, Ramos graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a degree in international affairs and minors in Spanish and French. She recently earned her master's degree in communication from Georgia State University (2007). She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and conversational in French. She moved to Atlanta in 1994 to work for the Atlanta City Council prior to the Olympics.
