Dick Pettys (1945 – 2012)Associated Press reporter for 35 years, who died in 2012.  His prolific, insightful and watchdog reporting as the AP’s State Capitol Bureau Chief in Atlanta consistently broke news and set the standard for fearless excellence, providing a public service unmatched in journalism.
